Works great
Product works great. It closes right at dark dark, and I have door installed on east facing wall. No more having to go out and close coop door at night. Not sure when it opens in morning though, chickens are always out in pen before I get up. My birds took to in the very first day, and they were used to using full size door (I added a light on timer so birds could see in coop at dark) so that might have helped them find the door.

Actually works
I didn't like the two piece metal looking door. So I glued a thin panel of wood to it and the rails. Camouflaged. Leave the edges of the metal showing so it fits and slides in the rails. Mounted it inside and Built a skinny box cover over it. Since I didn't have room under the window mounted it sideways. Works no problem. No batteries, be prepared. The programing of the second remote was tricky. Otherwise a but if patience. Works great Wish it was solar. Going to have to figure that one out.

Vevor Automatic Chicken Coop Door Opener Closer Timer Light Sensor
This thing was way to easy to install. It works great, only bad thing to say is that below 5degrees farenhiet it doesn't work. But I can live with that since that is only about two weeks out of the year here.

Placed order (VEVOR248701) on 11/4 for $89.99. Received the product and is sturdy. Controller is easy to set and instructions are clear. I tried to test with timer as well with K5 Test button but the linear Actuator rod wont extend or retract. I contacted the support thru email as their phone wont work at all, got reply to go thru manual, in next email they asked me to record a video to show how I was setting it up which I did send, then in another next email instruction guide was sent which I dont need. In another email they ask me to circle the part you want in the official website picture, which I did. I circled the actuator, the reply was to test push rod, which I have told in the very first email itself, now back to square one. I was frustrated losing time as winter approaching and with one email per day. Finally they offered they would return 35% of the order value, which was $32. I bought an actuator by adding another $10 to $32. Now found out that the controller (timer & relay) is not working and works only in one direction and the new actuator only extends (open) and wont close. The actuator retracts (close) fine when I switch the polarity manually, which indicates the controller has issues too. Now I cannot buy controller as a separate unit. I have to buy the entire the Kit again. This is just waste of time working with VEVOR customer support. Please keep away with this product.

Great door
This is a great door. My husband had a hard time with the electronics, but his son figured it out. Very easy to program. Just remember 24 hour clock. Military time. Haven't had real cold weather yet, so we'll see if there's a problem. I don't think there will be any problems. Great product for the price.

works good
I bought the chicken door opener for our ducks. It works good. I have the opener set at 7am and the close time at 4am. Our ducks are in a secure pen outside, but want them inside during the night. We manually close the door in the evening. It's nice not having to open the door right away in the mornings. Only issues I have had is that it opens really slow when it gets below zero, and if the power goes out or if it gets unplugged, I have to reset the clock. (The open and close times remain stored in the unit) Overall it's has been a good purchase for us.

Lower the sensor or it will kill your chickens.
Excellent product. Easy to install and operate. I am getting ready to run it completely off solar power. It did kill one of my chickens, because they were sleeping in the doorway below the level of the sensor. Make sure that you lower the sensor or raise the floor of the doorway as high as possible so that your chickens can't get lower than the sensor. Aside from sensor height issues, I would recommend the product to anyone that didn't want to have to wake up early to let you chickens out. Best value for the price, and as good as the more expensive models. The last thing I might change is the door is split in the middle for no plausible reason besides saving on shipping. I would make it one piece, but I will probably replace it with a single piece of steel. ~NJ

Good product i would recommend to others
It was easy to assemble took about 30 min. The only problem is the timer runs slower than expected. It will close at a certain time but wont open at the time we set up the timer for. Clock started to run slower than the time that was first put in. Other than that it works great.

Great product and here is why
We purchased this automatic coop door early in the year, 2020. It was pretty easy to install and setup. After several months with ZERO issues it stopped working and would not move at all or make any noise like it was trying. The support folks sent me a new circuit board to try and that did not fix the issue. They then said it would take a few weeks to get another motor/rod assembly in due to the demand. I mentioned it would be freezing here soon and "Dolly" said she would see what she could do. A week later I received the part and it worked! Now, after thinking about it I believe the chickens bumped a small block of wood into the path of the door as it closed and just blocked it a tiny bit at the bottom., over a bit of time I think this caused the motor/gear/rod to fail. Soooo, keep that in mind when you install the unit, make sure the door way stays clear with a bit of room at the bottom. We love this product and the support was great. I rarely do reviews but this one deserved it.
