This table was purchased to increase the countertop space in my kitchenette. It came with a protective plastic cover over the stainless steel top but there were scratches that went through that plastic cover. I just hope it won't rust. I live in a damp climate. Additionally the corners are finished (burnished poorly) in such a way that they don't match the top of the cart well. But for the price....I guess you get what you pay for.
