This spins up in just a couple of seconds and is quiet. It comes with two dry cotton wheels that initially throw thread everywhere, so you'll need to order some buffing compound to prepare the wheels and make them actually do something useful. It has rubber feet and stays put, even without bolting down, but is lightweight enough to easily move around when desired.

The unit Boggs down with light pressure was not able to polish metal with it and ended up having to hand buff the piece.

I love this for the price point. It feels very solid, it's quiet and does the job. It would be nice if it were variable speed, but it does what it's supposed to. The only thing is that it gets very hot if you run it more than a few minutes.

I was looking for a grinder/polisher for quite some time. I didn't want to spend a fortune. I saw this and read the reviews. I thought for the price, it was worth the risk. No risk here.. This is a well built quality tool. I'm pretty picky about my tools and this one surprised me. I'm very pleased with my choice. I recommend vevor tools to most everyone I know. Why pay a fortune? This does the job at. 1/3rd the price. It was packaged really well and was at my door in Hawaii in no time flat. I'm sold with only good things to say about Vevor and the products they sell.

Loving my buffer! I have needed one for a long time. I have a growing collection of Vevor products! I like everything I have purchased. I will continue to buy from Vevor because of the price and the quality.

Be sure to get the right buffing wheels as most on Amazon are too small shaft diameter to fit the buffer shaft. If you get the wrong buffer wheels they are designed for a spike shaft and not a threaded shaft. Be ready for some vibration if not mounted to a very sturdy surface.

So far it is a very good product.
