Good overall
Came damaged (plastic cover broken) but usable. Customer service was right on it and made good. 5 stars to customer service.

Great Hoist, but the Remote Wire is Short
This hoist works great for the money, but the remote wire is only about 3 feet long.

Not bad for $89
I've only used it a few times. Works as advertised. The manual is horrible English, and indicated 220V at 50Hz, but the data plate said 110V, at 60Hz. Works on 110V at 60Hz.The remote cord is 4.5' from the top of the unit, and the power cord is 2'. Would have given 5 stars, if the cords were longer.Someone else, mentioned the sticky tape on the wire spool. Yep, it's there, and an annoyance, fortunately only have to deal with this once. It's plenty fast. I only use it on double line pull mode only, just to slow it down. It doesn't have soft start, and I would not expect it on an $89 unit. So the load bounces when starting and stopping, worse on single line, and less on double line.I'm old and used these a lot in my early career, but I had forgotten how much a pain the tethered remote control is. If this one fails, I'll probably spend the extra cash and splurge for one with wireless remote control. Then I'll probably complain about not being able to find the remote.

Nice and Affordable
I used this to pull out and lower heavy items in the basement...not it's intended use, I know, but it worked great...and probably a bit of overkill. The lifting cable is plenty long to double the cable and still reach all the way down the steps. Now that is done, I'll mount it in the work shop. The speed is very stable and predictable as long as you keep the cable tight on the spool. It is able to stop and hold position. The electric cables are very short. The power cord is only about a foot long and the control pendant cable is only about 3 feet long. With it mounted high, be ready to change out the cables...I haven't done this yet so can't give any insight on the difficulty of that yet.Overall, I'm satisfied with it. It is big and heavy. It'll take 2 people to lift and mount it safely.

It works great for turning my logs
I have a sawmill and I lift my log just a few inches with the hoist so I can turn the log, it works great.

SOLID.
I used this to lift the rooftop tent off of the back of my truck and it could not have worked better. 80 bucks??? SO WORTH IT! I weight 250 and this thing lifted me up with ease. No issues. Highly recommend if you're trying to use in a garage to lift things or something like that!

No effort lifting
Best back saver ever !!! Bought it for one job. Lifting a Profile Advantium microwave oven into its cavity. It weighs about 100 lbs and is about 30 inches wide. Flawless 2 minute no effort job.
