We resided the yard this spring and I got this to put under our solostar fire pit. I did not want to take a chance and burn the grass. I was totally amazed the next day when we pulled it up to see the damage. There was absolutely no damage at all…you couldn’t even tell there had been anything there and we had that bonfire rolling!

It at least matches the firepit I bought, and assembly was easy enough, all the parts were there, and a few extra screws and nuts, looks like it will do the job.

This is very well made and heavy. The only thing is you'll need to customize it a little since it has no handle and the top is not fixed to the bottom. Overall, i modified it and think its great.

Good protection

You definitely get what you pay for. I have tried all those other fire mats that say they protect your grass but none of them deal. I was hesitant on this one in fact I was ready to return it after we had a bonfire. However we had a rip roaring bonfire and amazingly did not leave one mark on the grass! The grass looks perfectly fine the next day! This thing was totally worth it! I’m so happy! And I never write Amazon reviews but I just had to for this!

Perfect for what we wanted! I did tons and tons of research. Even bought a fancy fireplace because I do not want to ruin our beautiful deck. Worth every penny. Exactly as pictured. We did not have any issues with shipping/damages/missing parts.

We bought this to keep heat away from the ground and tree roots. It works beautifully, keeping heat from the outdoor fire place/pit. The ground remains normal temperature.

I got this to elevate my new solo firepit above my composite deck and it is working great. I added little gliding pot (like garden pot) feet so,I can easily move the setup to different areas of the deck. I was initially looking at more tarp like fire protection mats, but this works much better. I even sent the info on to the Solo folks figuring they should offer something like this.

Works great. Easy to set up and definately protects from the heat. Great purchase. Price was a bit more than I expected, but after using it, it is well worth the money

This item is brilliant and does exactly what it says on the tin!! It's well made and works really well at keeping the heat away from the surface below.. Delivery was fantastic..I ordered it from the US at 9.00pm on a Monday evening (from the United Kingdom). I kid you not, it was with me in the UK by 9.45am on the Wednesday morning.. Can't speak highly enough. Thanks
