I mean it is just an anchor and it will function as intended but the welds look as if some high school tech class was just learning basic welder functions. My hands looked like I had just finished in audition for tin man by time I finished assembly cause the galvanized paint coming off! Never the less with the janky welds and the shoty paint I would purchase again cause it is just and anchor and the price is right!

I haven't used the anchor yet, but the quality is worse than I thought. The welds are very sloppy. There are no assembly instructions but its very easy to assemble. The holes of the interior 2 bracing do not match with the anchor tabs. The anchor was galvanized dipped and it doesn't fold at all. The carter pins were too small so I used larger pins that I cut to size. As long as the welds hold it should work fine. I will be attempting to configure it so it will fold flat.

had my first trip, a week long raid. The anchor worked well on short scope, but when laid out on a beach, where the pull was almost horizontal, similar to on bottom in shallow water, with a long scope, the box anchor would 'stand up' and shift. Short scope, with the higher angle of pull, allowed the anchor to set well.

This box anchor is perfect for north Texas lakes.

This anchor is great quality. It was a bit stiff and hard to open and close. I assume that would get better with use.
