We purchased this because we wanted to make apple cider this season. For a table top press, it worked well for our needs. I will warn you that the 6 blocks it comes with is NOT enough . My husband made 14 more. We use those and the original 6 each time we use the press. Other than that, we like it. It is made from metal and is easy to put together. Use a drill it’s faster

Bought this for making apple cider. Was initially concerned about the included filter bags, and whether they would retain the pulp during pressing, but everything worked perfectly. Press was easy assemble, easy to use, seems well-made and should last a long time. I ended up making a few more wood blocks from scrap wood, to allow complete pressing of smaller batches of fruit.

This press is so much fun to use. A great addition to our homestead and super use for an over abundance of apples. I love the fact that you don’t need blocks because of the metal plate. And the large size makes it worth the work. Highly recommend this product.

So many apples this season, we decided to press some into cider for our family. Great product, easy to use right out of the box. Easily cleaned after each use, and the community of family pressing and enjoying fresh cider is a memory-in-the-making.

I used this press for apple cider and cheese making. It's heavy and built well. No issues so far but the wood could be better.

exceptional build quality. im not worried about this breaking any time soon, even given the price.

Pressed 4 bushels of grapes in two hours , and 5 bushels of apples in 3 hours . It is quite labor intensive with apples since they have to be cut up first. Works great for small batches. Would definitely recommend this size, the smaller one is not worth the effort to keep refilling and emptying the small bag after pressing.

the grape juice is great! 3 vines of cabernet savignon grapes made about a gallon of grape juice. You do need the finer mesh filter bags offered as accessories. For the three vined I did need an extra set of spacer blocks, but they are easy to make and half a vine more would not need them. Be sure to bolt the unit down to a table and you will need to unblt it when you are done. After clean-up, storage is easy.

Was very surprised by this item. Very sturdy and well built and gets the job done. Made the wine making process so much faster. Thinking of upgrading to larger size.
