Super easy to assemble, and I followed the suggestion to work in the extra sections as you work it up the tree. That info made it possible for this 68-year-old, mobility impaired, 3 joint replacements, plus lifelong arthritic woman to cut not only the 2" thick branches but everything up to 8" thick limbs using all 27' of the pole saw! I removed 3 smaller branches, 2 larger stubs sticking out from the trunk, and 2 super thick limbs way up. I was amazed at the sunlight it allows into the yard! I cut every limb off right at the trunk. I'm 5' 6" and realized quickly I couldn't leverage it up due to its weight and angle of the end hitting the ground. It is flexible, but the blade is sharp, bites in quickly, and stays in the groove. It is more limber than expected, but I adjusted to that. I used my other saws to break the limbs down to haul out front. I worked each afternoon over 4 days and love the job it did! I invented a new system for the monster limbs by sitting in my heavy-duty outdoor rocking chair and holding the pole saw, rocking back and forth when my arms got tired. Hey, not lazy, just creative, plus both rotator cuffs are torn, lol. That limb took 2 hours straight using the full 27' of the pole, yeah, really, but it is now waiting to be hauled away! I DO IT ALL!
