This Vevor 40oz Bottle is similar in weight to my other value-type stainless steel sports bottles, not too heavy or light, and it insulates well enough to keep my water cool for a few hours, which is enough to get me through a workout. It doesn’t go much more than that, but at a price of just under twenty dollars (at the time of my review), I wouldn’t expect that. The bottle's wide mouth opening makes cleaning and filling a breeze, even when adding ice cubes, and the top and cap screw on securely, making the bottle truly leak proof when it's securely closed. The drinking spout is small, about the size of a standard water bottle opening but taller, which makes it easy to drink out of at the gym without spilling. I also like the dark sapphire color and the matte finish, which is well-done and consistent. The top is a weak point of this bottle, though. Both the materials and construction feel a little flimsy, and the hinges on the loop handle feel thin and undersized. I’ll be surprised if that component withstands the weight of the filled bottle for long. I certainly don’t expect it to last a full year. Additionally, the rubber ring circling the cap isn’t secured, so it bunches up and slides off/around while I'm trying to unscrew the cap if I forget to grip it elsewhere. Overall, it’s a good bottle and a good value for a gym bottle even if the handle does come off. I don’t think I’d use it more frequently or for anything more rigorous though.
