Paid for itself the first use
This gauge set, a vacuum pump, and a wobble flaring tool and you're all set to put in mini splits. I put in 2 of them today and appreciated the 4th hose that's sized for mini splits so no adapter needed. I will use the gauge set when I replace the AC condenser in my car.

Good quality
Bought to diagnose a supposedly recharged car AC system that was not blowing cold. Everything fits together well and all hose connections well sealed. Most metal components appear to be brass. Did the job, and gauge readings suggested more gas was needed, which was duly added, resulting in nice cold AC.

Works perfect
Good quality to work on cars, as a person who used gauges professionally for over 20 years- this works just fine, all gauges regardless of price need to be verified as in tightened, calibrated, they don’t just work out of the box most of the time. These are just as good as more expensive models.

A nice, basic vacuum gauge set for a reasonable price
I bought this set to use during the installation of a mini-split HVAC unit on my house. It worked fine. This set is really designed for servicing the A/C system in your car which I am sure it would work very well for but it probably wasn't the best choice for a mini-split install since the gauge is not very accurate at the lower vacuum levels required for evacuating the system and checking for leaks. It did get the job done, however, so I really can't complain too much. The set comes with a fairly large range of adapters which makes it quite versatile. The hoses are long enough to be able to hang the gauges where you can see them while working which is often not the case for inexpensive gauge sets. Finally the case is kind of a cheap blow molded plastic but it neatly and compactly stores everything so as far as I am concerned it is a winner. if you are looking for an inexpensive, general purpose HVAC gauge set I would definitely recommend this set.
