Yeah it's a hose. Only issue is it came with a oily coating that all the dust sticks too and all over my hands.

The hose itself was good quality. But it was covered in some sort of Grease. Inside and out. And weeks later, I'm still trying to scrub the hose clean of all the grease so as not to get this stuff moving through the hose covered in Grease.

I'm happy with the dust hose given the price I paid for it. However, if you are working in a non-heated shop with air temps below freezing, note that the plastic on the hose will get quite brittle -- be careful when adjusting the hose. Also, if you have a wood planer that ejects large chips, adjust the hose so that it lines up straight with the planer port (no bend/elbow), otherwise the chips can wear a hole in the hose over time -- I easily fixed this problem with a few layers of duct tape. I believe these are challenges with all PVC dust hoses in general, not specifically this product. Hopefully this info is helpful!
