or Ask a Question
Do the balusters have holes pre-drilled near the ends as shown in one of the pictures, or are they hollow balusters with no holes? This is important since most people use a connector or drill a hole in the wood for insertion into the wood and don't want a hole showing. Please offer a plain baluster with no holes and no scres.

I bought these round ones and a box of the rectangular. At first I didn't know if I could use both on the same deck. I needed around a 130 balusters so I put three round ones in each section and the rest of them rectangular. They look great. The metal is fine but a bit thin so if you use a power drill to set the screws becareful because too much force will bend the material. The provided screws are fine but the heads are not of harden steel so be careful because if you let the bit spin it will eat out the material and the screw is not useable.

I used these to finish a railing on a loft area in our house. They were exactly as advertised and went up exactly as planned. I didn't use the included screws because of the design of my railing. I used a 3/4" paddle bit and made a "socket" for the baluster to sit in and then assembled the top and bottom rail. They also cut easily with a carbide tipped blade on a miter saw.

Ballister Installation
I initially tried using the screws on the bottom rail - looked horrible and extremely difficult to set top rail onto 14 ballusters. The ballusters are a slight bit wider than ones I had used in the past. The screws looked horrible and the screw tip came out on the other side - highly recommend dumping the screws. I put the ballusters on with the holes on top. You need to have the top rail within a 1/2" of the ballusters sitting on the bottom rail, then you need to slide them up to catch the top rail. Without assistance, the ballusters just slide right back down, making the job impossible. I( used joist tape on the bottom connectors wrapping a bit around the connector and folding back the end so the sticky underside can slide onto the balluster. Then its very easy to slide up the balluster onto top rail without having it slide back down. A bit extra work but much, much easier and faster. I had 112 running feet of railing and 2 stairs to do.

Would definitely order these deck spindles again
The quality of spindles is really good we did have a small issue but the vendor very quickly resolved the problem excellent to do business with. We love the effect that these spindles have as the railing on our deck which is still in the process of being built.

Product is good but I needed exactly 101 like the listing states but I only received 100. I guess I'll have to purchase another pack to finish my project so value isn't great since I'll have to spend more money.I haven't found a way to message seller about issue.
