I have been cutting down numerous over grown trees the last several month. Finally attacked the larger and dangerous ones. Used this on a 29\", 50' long main tree laying on a sloping hill. Chopped off the 16\" end pieces and rolled them down hill with ease. Ground was wet and soft.. so tip to put a flat piece of wood under the support bar worked perfectly.. I really used a small log and also other small lots to prevent the main log rolling more than I wanted. I added 3-4 smaller logs under where I rolled the main trunk. This helped with cutting off one piece after the next, and keeping everything suspended.. in the air. Instructions were a bit vague.. but the picture helped. Bar handle cover gives a solid firm grip.. but being aluminum, the tube is slick. And with moisture being likely, I expect to coat the top 1/4-1/3 with something to make sure I have a firm grip. The big hook swings free when storing.. so I expect to use some sort of strap to secure it against the main long handle. Would be nice to have a solid storage bag to fit over the support bar and hook, to avoid mud and dirt getting everywhere.
