I’m not entirely sure how I feel about this. I had purchased it for a feeding station for a few abandoned cats in the neighbourhood. It was super easy to put together. I love the lifting roof idea. There is room for a feeder and water bowl. It will protect from wind and possibly rain if it falls straight on to the roof. So here’s why I’m not sure. The wood of the walls and floor is made of is the same thin sheeting like a manufactured fence. So over time it will shrink and start to separate…like my fence. It does need to be varnished/sealed. Which I am doing. I’m not sure how this is going to do in the winter at -30. But, it does give some protection to the elements. So, some is better than none. I think due to the type of material on the roof it may help retain quite a bit of heat when the sun does shine. I am happy with it. And after a varnish and a little bit of extra insulation the outside fur babies will love it.
