The 2.5Ton jack appears to be much more solid that the factory issue. It’s made with 1/8” solid sheet steel pressed into channel for support. The factory jack was 1/16th” sheet metal pressed and stamped with support ribs and it worked well for a while even using my impact it would lift right up till I finally had a flat last week and needed it, I was having problems with the threads on it from overuse using it for suspension work and when I went to use it for the flat it lifted the car to almost have wheel off ground, then when I tried to take it that little bit further it collapsed. This new Vevor appears to be twice as strong and I’m confident with it but still overall a little Scissor Jack shy from the Ford Factory model so I haven’t used it yet but when I do I will surely add to the review. As for now I really like the quality of Steel Strength with this jack and am very confident it will serve its purpose well.
