Overall a good trim router. So far my first and only use has been to rout out an opening in a router table for an insert plate and lift. It had no trouble plunging in 3/8"and removing a 1 inch thick band around the perimeter of the opening to support the plate.
A few minor issues out of the box: both the fixed and plunge bases were not centered over the spindle. Since they were mounted with conical-head screws and the holes had no "wiggle room," I had to replace them with round head screws and enlarge the holes to allow centering of the bases. Also, the plastic dust collector for the plunge base was warped to the extent that it would not fit into the opening provided for it. I had to use a heat gun to melt it into the correct shape. The fixed base has a gear to engage with the rack on the router body but no knob to assist with fine adjustment. Finally, I found it impossible to remove a bit from the 1/4" collet without removing the nut and collet from the spindle first. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong but it seems to require potentially damaging force to remove the bit with the collet in the spindle.
These small issues aside, it's hard to imagine a better value for a variable-speed router that comes with 2 bases and an assortment of accessories.
