While I usually like the value I get from Vevor products, this is different. There are two speeds when using this coring machine. When you start coring, it is best to start slow so the bit can start to bite into the concrete. Once the groove is established, you can speed up the process. On the slow setting, this machine still runs too fast. The coring bit starts jumping around, making this possibly dangerous. I am trying to send it back for a refund if possible. Vevor makes a lot of good products, and if they make one at a variable speed, I would try it, but you should pass on this one.

You get what you pay for
This drill is at a price that seems too good to be true. The company I work for bought this drill and it’s used primarily for drilling 1 1/2 to 4” holes through concrete floors. It wouldn’t be recommended to use this drill without the stand bolted firmly in place as it’ll cause serious injury if it binds up. The drill has served us well for around 9 months being used maybe once a week but last week whilst drilling a 2” hole the gearbox just disengaged whilst the motor runs the bit does not. This is not a tool for heavy consistent use. It’ll serve its purpose for the home contractor who only needs it once in a while. It’s what can be described as harbor freight quality…. Cheap manufactured Chinese product not designed to last a long time.

Surprisingly, this tool did exactly what it was supposed to do, I didn't expect much but when I received it, I was impressed with it, it has plenty of power to do the job & there is a bit of a learning curve, but if you take your time, it will do the job very well.

Purchased this core drill to install copper refrigerant lines on a HVAC project. Our current drill bit the dust, so I ordered this one from Velvor! I was not disappointed. Drill cut through concrete, steel and brick walls 15" thick, 84 years old! I reccomend this product for the construction industry
