For about 1/10th the cost of a mechanical phase converter rated for 10hp, I installed this solid state one, and it works fine. I haven’t a clue how it works, and you can’t test the manufactured leg until the motor is running, so installation requires a bit of faith in the very brief installation instructions. As usual, Vevor provides no useful technical support, manuals, warranty, or anything else after the sale, so it’s a bit of a gamble. Not for the faint of heart! Let’s hope it’s still running a year or so down the road. If so, it’s a great value.
