Will this pump work with sucrose? As a beekeeper, I store sucrose in 55 gallon drums to feed the bees over the winter. A hand pump would be a great alternative to charging marine batteries to run small diameter on-demand liquid pumps. Thanks in advance for your response.

This pump can not work with sucrose and this is for industrial use, not for food use.

Works well so far. Have it on a 55 gallon drum at our camp out in the woods. It is all plastic, and feels it, but so far I've not had any issues. It fit the bung hole (2") fine, and is very tight/sturdy in place. The extension on the end is nice, no pretty, but it's good to extend when needed into a bucket. Overall, I'm happy with this pump, it was exactly what I was looking for. There is a little strainer in the extension arm, and the arm is setup to give some adjustment/error if your drum isn't an exact height. The five stars is taking the price into account.

As stated a good value IF it can take the strain of cranking it seems a little light weight when cranking. Time will tell if it seizes up over the winter being stationary.

Works well with diesel
Bought this to throw on a 55gallon drum for diesel. You can spin it backwards to transfer into the tank which is nice because only two bungs on the drum one being a vent you don't have to remove to refill. Cheaper than any on the market. Plastic but for seldom use it gets, it works well.
