Bought this for a catering event we used 1/2 size chaffing pans the disposable alum ones. the disposable pans are too weak to be supported by the slide in grooves but if you put a 1/2 size sheet pan in they rest ontop very well. The event was only about a 40 min trip but our food arrived hot and intact. Yes I would buy again.

I purchased two of these carriers for a food festival to hold soup. They are sturdy and good quality. The only issue is that that there is no electrical outlet so it you can't keep the food at a stable temp.

The only downside to this product is the hinges. The hinges close and latch securely keeping the product inside either hot or cold for the amount of time the product says it will (4 to 6 hours). The problem with the hinges though is that they are not as sturdy as they could be. They should be of a metal construction. I reviewed to see if I would be able to purchase metal hinge replacements but was not able to locate any. I was also not able to locate plastic replacement hinges either. If there are metal replacements available we would be appreciative for that information. Anyway, the hinges durability is not enough of a concern to drop any stars as the product itself is easy to use, easily manageable, and the casters are designed just right. I am certainly going to be ordering more of these as my business has picked up a bit and more transportation units are required.
