About this item

  • No More Frozen Pipes: Keep your water pipes from freezing this winter with our 9FT pipe heating cable, delivering a constant power of 7W/FT. It only needs 2 minutes and the temperature rises to 70℉, keeping your pipes protected from cold temperatures! There is an indicator light on the grounded plug, and it will light when plugged in.
  • Premium Built-in Thermostat: With the built-in thermostat with an accuracy of ±1°, the heat tape for water pipes automatically turns on at 41℉ / 5℃ and stops working at 64.4℉ / 18℃. Compared with a heat-shrinking sleeve thermostat, our high-strength injection molding thermostat is more secure to use.
  • Perfect Length: Our 9FT heat cable for pipes has a 3FT power cord, which allows it to work at long distances. Built with fiberglass heating core, PVC insulation, braided shields of copper wire, and PVC protective jacket, this heat cable with IP68 waterproof rating offers high safety and long-lasting performance in harsh winter conditions.
  • Convenient Installation: The pre-assembled heat cable is designed for easy installation. Simply lay it out in a straight line—do not cross or overlap the cable. Ensure that the thermostat and the entire heating cable are in full contact with the pipe for optimal performance. Please test the cable before the installation.
  • Beat the Winter: Our pipe heating cable is designed to protect your pipes from freezing in cold weather, ensuring smooth water flow all winter long. A helper in RV, basements, garages, gardens, water tanks, outdoor hydrants, pipe valves, faucets, etc. Perfect for water-filled pipes such as PEX, PVC hose, and metal pipes.

Good heat tape
Got this VEVOR Pipe Heating Cable to further harden bathroom plumbing in case of loss of HVAC heating during extreme cold, that happens about once a decade and last time a brass shower valve assembly froze & split, repair costs were about 4 times the cost of this cable. Design is atypical, build quality is good, this heat tape is well made. Functionality is good, it works well, easy to install, switches on and off as expected, produces plenty of heat. Price point is good, below average. Overall, 5 stars, good heat tape.

A must for anyone who lives in the colder climates
When correctly installed the Vefor pipe heating cables can save the day when the temperatures dip below freezing. When properly installed the builti-n thermostat will detect those dips in temperature and kick in the heating necessary to keep the pipes from freezing. The cable heats rapidly and works well in even the coldest of weather.

Works Great
I just wanted to express how pleased I am with this purchase. It does what it's supposed to do and everything works as it should. I thoroughly examined everything after unboxing. All contents were complete and undamaged. All specifications have been proven to be accurate, and setup is extremely simple. The presentation is of top quality, confirming the value for money. I have yet to run into any problems or issues, and I would recommend it to others.

Don't overlap the wires because they do warm up quite a bit
I just purchased and installed these on my exposed water lines outside the house then covered them with pipe insulation. Fell victim to the nasty freeze we had in Texas a couple of years back. Anyways, these are controlled by a built in thermostat. Out of the box, you can test the product by putting a bunch of ice cubes on a towel then place the towel over the thermostat. Once the temperature drops, you should feel the tape warm up. Once installed, it works the same way. Temperature drops enough to trigger the thermostat and it begins to heat up. A nice tip, spread a thin film of silicone over the connecting plugs so that moisture doesn't corrode the prongs, that way you can plug in and leave it alone throughout the winter months. This beats leaving the water running during extremely cold nights. I'm giving it 4 stars for now because I want to follow up in 12 months, to report on durability.

Nice Product
Something like this is hard to evaluate, for me anyway. Does it work?? Yes. I installed it plugged it in after 5 min checked the temperature with a Therm gun and it was on and warm Approx 60degrees. As far as lifetime ?? I don't know. I had one on my pipes ( Different Brand) for 10 years. It worked well and I was happy. The reason I replaced it ?? The Electricity went out for 14 hours and the pipes froze. I had to fix the pipes and I replaced the heater tape , because it was 10 years old. I hope this one serves just as well.
