Ok so I want to skid logs with these tongs. Most single tongs will end up bent if you grab anywhere but at very end allowing tong sides to bypass the end completely.
Not with these! I can grab anywhere on log and skid them! Because of the double tong connected together it makes them way stronger like a truss.
My first test I pulled out a dozen logs, some of them 40 feet long. Largest was 20" diameter, no problems and no bends yet! And I wasn't being easy on them either.
I like em!
Only "issue" I had was that the stickers used to match them during assembly must have been put on wrong.
I also added some washers as they don't align perfectly when assembled and I wanted a better fitment.
I mean they would work fine unshimmed but I like things a bit closer to perfect.
I'm impressed with them! Though I would bend them on my first log! Nope!
And Guess what? With a little practice, you don't have to leave the seat of your machine! (I'm using mini-ex)
