I will be using the filter on a waterfall fountain with a small basin. The filter will be connected on a valved bypass line off the waterfall source line. The filter will function when the fountain pump is running. The fountain pump runs approx 4 - 5 hours a day, over 12 hour period. Is there any problem with the UV lamp being on when the pump isn't running? I would probably use the 12 hour setting for the UV Lamp. Does the UV lamp turn on and the 12 hours begin when you plug in the lamp?
Is filtering the fish tank water exactly how I had hoped
This filter has done exactly what I hoped it would do. Coupled with the over 1,080 gph little water pump, this thing has made my fish tank perfectly beautiful I'm very happy. Easy to set up easy to use with a hand crank to clean the inside foam filters.
I used chemicals and additional filters, but couldn't clear the algae form our 2000 gallon fish pond. Within a week of installation, the water was clear enough to see the bottom. I haven't needed to add the anti-algae bacteria. It's extremely easy to clean.
Could've asked for better or faster shipping. The filter was exactly as described and cleaned up our pond in a week of operation once the pond was clear I put the UV light on the 12 hours cycle. I would recommend this filter and I certainly recommend Vevor for their prompt servic.

I have been using this filter for about 2 months and it has been working really well, even with the uC lamp off. My favorite thing is that I don’t have to worry about taking the pump apart to clean as all I need to do is turn a lever to clean out the inside. Definitely a great value compared to other filters in the price range .
