I have used a Food Saver vacuum sealer for decades now. It's saved us a TON of money. As I've gotten into making my own Sausage, I've found that the FoodSaver was lacking in that it didn't always completely remove the air from the bags which lead to freezer burn on a lot of my meats I was trying to preserve. I had been researching chamber vacuum sealers for awhile and had pretty much made up my mind to get the 16" Meat Your Maker machine and was saving my Pennies to get that machine. However, at $1,700 it was going to be awhile before I got it. As I was researching other machines, I found a few reviews on YouTube about this machine. I started exploring it and was very skeptical it would deliver as promised. However at less than $400, I could buy four of these before I even spent the money on ONE of the Meat Your Maker machines. So I decided to gamble and take a chance on it. I'm glad I did. The chamber is generously sized and only for the largest cuts of meat will you be left wanting more. But for everyday operation it's been great. This weekend my wife and I cooked a couple of tomahawk ribeyes and I sealed the one we didn't eat in a vacuum bag and used that to Sous Vide the steak the next day for dinner. Worked perfectly. ZERO air left in the bag so the meat sank to the bottom of the sous vide container, no need to weigh it down. We've vacuum sealed liquids with the same results. This thing is a beast and will last a long time, especially for as often as we use it. If I could come up with one complaint it would simply be its size and weight. At 62 Pounds you're not moving it a lot. And with its dimensions you're probably also not leaving it on the kitchen counter all the time either. But you know that going in, so you figure that out pretty quickly. I was skeptical about this company, but if this is any indication as to the quality of their products, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again from them.
