Long chain needs to be kept knot free when in use.
I like the long chain, it can be cumbersome at times but nice to have when you need it. The internal workings of the chain hoist I received don't seem to be that well built but if not abused I think it will be just fine.

Much safer than caution things in a ladder
I'm using this for my garage to bring heavy things to the garage attic. It carries everything I throw at it and if easy to use - saved me from falling off of a ladder more than once

work as advertised, only wish it had a crank handle, a lever ratchet is a pain when pulling or lifting more than a couple of feet
