It is a good buy it does have some casting defects and you need to be sure to hit your work but it is a massive improvement over a railroad track, the horns are pretty dead, but still a breeze to forge on, and with a little clean up this will do the work you need it to

Just the right part I needed

For the price this anvil is great. My son is trying to get into metal working so I got him this anvil for Christmas. He’s already started using it and it’s just a great size for beginners. It’s a great buy!

I got what was in the picture though I thought I wouldn't, it came in good condition no dings or scratches. the package it came in was sub par though

It needs some dressing up out of the box. The blue paint is hideous. It's not quite as nice as a name brand anvil. But for the hobbyist that can't find a good old anvil it works good. Two notes for the manufacturer (as if they'll ever see this). Stop filling it with bondo, and stop painting it. They look so much better with the casting imperfections on display and in a natural steel color.

Not to shabby for the price, a bit soft but dont be a dummy and beat on it with a hardened hammer designed to be harder than the anvil, besides a dinged up anvil looks good. Hardy hole too big for you? get a welder, make it work, your a blacksmith right? Maybe i just got a good one, i agree they are probably hit or miss, china sucks and the metal rusts overnight but over all this is a sweet deal, although i can guarantee this anvil will not exist in this form in 130 years like an old PW, the metal is just too, Chinese.
