I do a lot of flour milling at home. I sometimes (depending on the recipe) like to sift the bran out of my flour. This sifter does a fantastic job of efficiently sifting out the bran. The first sifter I received arrived damage. It also looked like it was a previous return (the base was dented and the cord was not even wrapped with a wire tie. The second unit was undamaged and the cord was wrapped with a wire tie. Both boxes look like they had been abused. The company should really look into doing a better job of packing these sifters.Observations:1. The sifter works as it should. It was a pleasure to use.2. The 40 & 60 mesh screens were nicely put together.3. It is pretty fast at sifting the flour using either screen.4. Easy enough to clean.5. It is not loud when it runs. Compared to my grain mill.6. It came with a decent manual and a real nice matt that left the sifter steady on my wood table.7. The electric cord had a nice length and an on/off switch on the cord.8. I purchased an 80 mesh from another manufacturer and it fit this sifter perfectly.9. The pastry brush that came with the unit is garbage. It was very coarsely finished and it started shedding hairs into my flour the first time I used it. Not a big deal as I have several quality pastry brushes but it's something to keep in mind.I love this sifter. I can't speak on how long it will last but it does everything I needed it to do.
