Definitely good as a beginner cutting. It does 20gauge stainless with no problem. When it first came I thought it was bent out of line but it just needed tightened up.

Work as you think it should. The adjustable rod metal plate was bent but that probably happened during shipping but not so bent that it is unusable.

Quite a machine. Cuts through recommended metals like butter. I work with very small flat copper pieces so there is some curling along the cut line end, but that is easily fixed as I need to pound out the pieces anyway. Well worth the money.

Nice machine, which has easily cut some 20 gauge x 3/4" steel straps for me. However, the threads on the adjustable holder arrived messed up and needed to be re-cut (M12x1.75), and the main pivot bolt tends to loosen with use. A second nut to lock against the first and hold the adjustment can solve that problem (M16x2.00). I would recommend the factory add that second nut to prevent this from the start.

The handle is the perfect length for good leverage. I, actually my wife, made a dozen cuts in a short time on 1/8 inch solid bar steel. This is a little too thick for the shear but no damage is seen.

It does exactly as advertised. Cuts thin sheet metal with ease.
