Quality press, easy to use
I bought this press to punch out heart shapes in 1/4" thick foam core to make valentine cards. I first tried using a rubber mallet with a leather punch but I wasn't able to consistently strike it with the perfect amount of pressure. If I didn't hit it hard enough, the die wouldn't cut all the way through the foam core. If I hit it too hard, I was dulling the die against the backing surface. This press was very easy to adjust to just the depth needed to cut through the foam core and not dig into the backing material. The backing material under the piece being cut was just a thin plastic cutting mat from Ikea, the kind you might use to cut vegetables on. I adjusted the press to just barely make contact with the mat, and that made it cut through the foam core perfectly. You can see how easy it is to use in the video. The only concern is It came with no instructions at all, but it was easy enough for me to figure out how to adjust it and use it. I like this press a lot and would not hesitate to recommend it.

You can see how easy it is to use in this video https://youtube.com/shorts/5WnyvAEjQkg?feature=share The only concerns I had were that it's very heavy and came loosely packed in a carboard box with some haphazard packing material in the box that wasn't really giving it any protection. It was rattling around in the box and one of the large adjustment nuts had come off during shipping so that the threads on one rod were rubbing against the mechanism and were worn down a little. However when I replaced the nut, it still fit well enough to not be a problem. It came with no instructions at all, but it was easy enough for me to figure out how to adjust it and use it. I like this press a lot and would not hesitate to recommend it. I saw it available on Amazon for a higher price, so even though it took a couple of days longer to get it directly from Vevor, the savings were worth it.

Best Press for the Price
This Press works great, especially for thin leather. This is a great option for anyone doing leatherwork who cant afford the $4,000 Weaver press. It is simple and easy to maintain. My only complaints are that the main plte can come loose and getting your hand in to tighten the alan screws can be a challenge. Also the wrech they set was not the right size and would strip the bolts. I just used one of my own. But honestly, this thing is perfectly simple and does exactly what it says it does.

Solidly Built
Update: See video. All better!!You can see my video for my full review. In short: This is an incredibly heavy, incredibly durable machine. It’s going to be a fantastic press: Once it works. :-(Out of the box, there was a small metal tab missing from the crankshaft that allows the bearing to turn and press the plate down. But since that bearing is not there, the entire plate comes down lopsided and at an angle. You can see it missing in my video. No instructions, which is fine. It’s simple enough to figure out how to assemble it. The screws are on there tight but you can loosen them with some elbow grease. It comes with a wrench that works for the screws. It also comes with a white press mat so you don’t damage your dies.Planning to contact the seller about the missing part. Will keep this updated.

Big enough to emboss and die cut
Wide range to embossed or use dies. I am not using it to cut leather but cutting thick felt and handmade papers works perfectly fine wit adjusting screws.

Not bad
For the price this is great. It doesn’t stamp evenly, but if you find the right spot it works well.
