We bought this for our granddaughter. She has had so much fun with it and made a vase as soon as she got it home. We purchased air dry clay so they wouldn't need it fired in a kiln. It is a great pottery wheel with which to learn. Vevor shipped it quickly and packaged it very well . I definitely recommend them. I will buy from them again.

The size is perfect for the apartment, how ever no bat pins. .. the one I have doesn't have a lot of torque, but it is fine to pull up unlimited pieces of work.. very satisfied for the price point

Bought this for my 10 year old who wanted to learn how to throw. She was able to use it easily and because of the quality can take the roughness of a child. It has been great for the whole family to use and try. We are very satisfied with this product!

If you are on a budget and can’t get a more robust wheel this is not a waste of money. I will center more clay than a beginner needs although there is not enough torque at low speed. The tools supplied are of good quality and complete for most all work. Wheel head engineering at this price is satisfactory. Belt will make noise for a day or so because of being around the small drive pulley in storage..

Motor sounds a bit grindy so I am not sure how long it will last, but it spins true and flat.

Wire falls out when in use! Machine bogs down when in use! Junk!! I contacted CS, they responded send a video. NO, NOT MY Responsibility!! You sell junk!! No phone number to call???

So, it is a beautiful wheel. Great price. It came a whole week early! I got this one simply because I’ve never thrown before and I will be teaching myself. BUT - a few things. It definitely has some bumps/dings/scratches so I’m not sure if I got a previously used wheel (aka a return). It was very well protected and cushioned in its box so I highly doubt it was from shipping. Another thing is that once you flip the switch to forward or reverse, it just starts going and it’s pretty fast. Not sure if this is how all wheels are or not but from videos I see of people using other wheels, the pedal starts and stops it. With mine you can only control how much faster it goes and I can slow it down to the original speed. (again never thrown before) So all in all — not really sure if this is the BEST wheel for me since I’m trying to learn and throw for the first time. But we shall see . UPDATE (11/6/24) - I contacted VEVOR customer service last night regarding the wheel spinning without the pedal being pressed. They got back to me this evening and sent me a video on how to resolve the issue. Took all of 5 minutes. 4 of which was me trying to understand/do what was instructed. 100/10 customer service & I’ll say it again : A WEEK EARLY DELIVERY .

This inexpensive wheel is not going to have the quality materials of a $1000 pottery wheel. Everything is made of thinner and lighter material. BUT for the price it is an amazing value. The folks, who designed this wheel, were able to pull together a well-functioning wheel with modest materials. In short, it works and seems to work quite well. I've not had it long enough to speak to its durability. The wheel is low, so you will need to raise it about 8 inches, depending on your preferences. I started out with a pair of concrete blocks, which seemed to be about right for me. But because I needed to move the wheel about from time to time, I built a small lightweight base out of scrap wood. The wheel has more power than I expected. I've centered 3 lbs of clay with ease and the motor did not slow. Something to consider is that the overall weight of the wheel is around 25 lbs. So, if you are going to lean in for centering larger pieces, you may want to place the wheel against a wall or something heavy so that it does not move. The foot control is very responsive. I can slow it down to a crawl. The high end speed seems about right for centering. All in all, it was an excellent buy. 2024 UPDATE: The speed control has become very difficult to adjust at the lower speeds. When trying to increase the speed just a little, it speeds up rapidly and has destroyed a couple of pieces that I was throwing. I suspect it is the foot pedal. I checked inside and found that it uses plastic gears and I suspect that it now has some play in the speed adjustment. Bummer.

Such a good wheel for the price . It’s a really good size . The height of it was not what I expected. Works really good the speed is awesome. The pedal I think needs a bit of oil maybe because it’s sometimes tough to slow it down at the right tempo without fully stopping it . But honestly really great purchase at such good price .
