this is a decent vice I have it on my 10" bench top drill press. it is not a machining table but its good enough to do what I want which is drilling multiple evenly spaced holes and milling wood. and some light metal work I did cut a key way with it. if you get this take it a part, clean and oil it and adjust the gibs. it work very smoothly. I gave it four stars because I believe it could have been built to closer tolerances. namely the moving vice jaw. all in all I like it. for the price you can't beat it

Buying this vice is like buying an 80% lower receiver .. Everything is there but you have to do ALOT of fine tuning to make it work "good"The drive screws are SLOPPY and take a 1/4 turn till it catches and moves. And when it's moved one direction you can physically move it the other way a good 1/4 inch so the slide is SLOPPY also.I had to make my own spacer bars because the ones that came with it were bent AND twisted!The part on the top axis where the spiral gear connects to the top Vice I had to weld in place because of the slop in it. After doing that it corrected it 100% I also had to take the entire Vice apart and deburr polish and smooth almost every surface that touched each other now it works very well but don't expect it to work great right out of the box it was covered in some weird oil grease that I cleaned off so if you're looking for a good X Y Vice and want to put some time into fixing this one up I would recommend it but if you just want one out of the box to work this is not for you

Bought this vise for milling out an AR. Once I lubed it up good working it back and forth it works awesome.

I may edit this the more I tram this vise, but its surprisingly well done. Only thing that wasn't to my liking is it has keys for Bridgeport size T-slots and NOT for the smaller 1/2 T slots on my G0704.I could have also used some vise mounting cleats/clamps for the side rails. Overall would buy again.

When it arrived the screw that closes the top vise was bent. But there was a replacement in the box. Took it apart and cleaned and oiled it. Works well enough for the price, if your looking for more precise or better quality you will pay more
