We are relatively novice bee keepers (two years). This extractor worked exactly as it was supposed to with minimal effort on our part. As you would expect, since this is basically a pretty good size centrifuge, it must be bolted down or it will "walk" and become very unsteady. Initially, we mounted it on a single board about three feet square. That did not work. We then mounted it to 2x6s about five feet long in a V shape and stood on the ends of the boards. This worked perfectly. It took about 10 minutes to extract the honey from the two frames after the cells were opened.

Works exactly as described. Because this is a centrifuge, it needs a stable base to mitigate vibration. We built a mobile base using 2x4s and 1/2" plywood. The machine attaches to the base with nuts and bolts. We use 5 gallon buckets of water as the weights for our base while extracting, and it worked flawlessly! The extractor did exactly what was intended, and we are pleased. As others mentioned, the drum isn't perfectly round, but this hasn't affected the operation of the machine for us.We ran each side of the (med sized) honey frames for about 3-4 minutes at ~75% power, and 2-3 minutes at ~85% - 100%.

I gave this as a gift. When my son opened the box it had a dent in the side. He did bang it out and it works. The box was intact when we got it and it was packed securely so not sure why it was dented. Now we need to wait for the honey to be ready to use it.

This is a great machine and very reasonable price. It works very well.

I haven't been able to give it a real test yet as it arrived after this year's harvest. It was packaged well and went together easily. A test run showed that the basket seemed well balanced and there was very little vibration through the whole run from slow to full speed. If I had a complaint, it would be that the legs could be longer so that a 5-gallon bucket could fit under the discharge spout and the knobs on the plastic lids could be relocated (they hit the motor when opened and won't allow the lid to stay open without being held). I expect that this extractor will make next year's harvest much easier.

This is a great tool. It performed very nicely. It needs a stabilizer holder for the frames in the center to hold frames in place. Minor change. Also a bottom mounted drain would be an excellent modification.

This electric extractor is perfect for our small operation. It holds two frames and we used it twice now. It's worked like a charm. We fastened it to a large board, just so it wouldn't "walk" around on us. It's nice because we each stand on one end of the board - if we have too - and we don't always have to. It worked great for us and it's a very smooth running extractor. We're very happy with it! Thank you.
