You definitely need the proper tools and drill bits to install this thing. If you think what you have will probably be good enough, you're probably wrong. Even so, we managed to get it in and seems quite sturdy, although I'd be uneasy giving it the "gorilla test". The one page of instructions give Ikea a run for their money for vagueness. My favorite part is "Pillar A should be ATTACKED under End B."

This product actually surprised me the quality is amazing the metal is strudy. The rail has a gentle curve in it which gives you a more secure hold. The overall style is great. Will be buying another in the future for the other stairs on my porch.

This is a very nice handrail that I purchased to protect people walking up my steps. Take the time to install it correctly and it is sturdy and attractive and you’ll protect your friends from falling on your front porch steps.

As knees don't work as they used to, we wanted something that looked beautiful and was sturdy. This is exactly what we hoped and it is exactly what we got! It is sleek looking and doesn't stand out, but blends with our home's yard. It looks like it was part of the landscape design. As for sturdiness, I no longer fear going up or down the stairs. You can't go wrong with these handrails.

I bought these for my own house and was so impressed I ordered 2 for rental properties, and for my oldest daughter’s home. I am about to order one for another daughter’s home. They look like they will last forever.

Easy to set up, looks great

These are very nice, heavy duty and attractive railings. My only complaint is that a one sheet picture with no written instructions is all that was included in the way of help installing. As a result I ended up needing to buy extra anchors because I ruined some of them. Once I figured it out it went great, but some written instructions would have been helpful. I would buy them again

I am very much happy with these for the price and the fact that I ordered them on Amazon. I believe they’re just as good as any box store could sell you.I was a little skeptical, but I needed railings. But when I seen these things after installation, I was pleased to feel how solid they were and how good they looked.
