Bought this instead of renting an electric jack hammer to break up some large blue rock boulders in the yard. The handle is made of a cheap plastic that is kind of brittle. Mine had a small crack in it when I got it but didn't affect performance so I didn't ask for a replacement. Body is made of a cast metal. Ergonomics are pretty good for someone 6 feet tall. Rotating handle easy to get comfortable. Comes with a sharp and flat edge bit. Used the product to break up a bunch of very hard boulders. Used both gas generator and 100 foot extension cord plugged into a 20 amp outlet. No issues. When working the bit and body gets warm to hot but never a problem. Lasts longer the operator. Successfully broke up the boulders into manageable pieces. The sharp bit got a little dull on the hard rock but didn't shatter or bend which surprised me. The bits on the hammer end demonstrated minimal wear. Just for fun tied it on an old concrete slab and it devastated it in seconds. Overall very happy with this purchase. Definitely not for professional use. You are trading quality of construction of the product for the very low price. But for a small project use or occasional home owner use this is perfect. The bits are very strong after being abused by me. Overall very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this for a homeowner who has a few boulders to break or a concrete or masonry project that need demolition work.
