Our deck is very small, so removing the builder-grade balusters and replacing the steps with wider ones was the first step toward updating and improving our deck. I watched several online videos to learn how to install stainless steel cables, and bought turn buckles and eye lag screws to install the cable. The most difficult task with this cable was actually cutting it. Cable cutters did not work, bolt cutters did not work, so I ended up buying a hydraulic cable cutter on Amazon which finally gave me enough "umph" to cut each cable length. I recommend taping the cable before each cut to keep the strands from splaying (I used electrical tape, as it stretched and was easy for me to get tight to keep the cable from unravelling). The product itself is very high quality, the seller shipped fast, and it just took me awhile to gather the rest of my materials for this project. However, I am so happy with how it turned out! Hubby is also pleased!
