Set My Vintage Amp Voltage to 117vac
Fast delivery - easy setup - Bench tested the input & reduced output voltage / very consistent. Reduced the input AC voltage to my 1962 Fender Bassman 100 to mfg. spec. 117 vac. I didn't notice any real difference in the sound but expect this will extend the life of the tubes greatly. My studio AC output is 122 vac at the outlet. You will have a hard time beating this price point and quality. Does the job easily. Thanks VEVOR!

Very pleased!
I mistakenly thought this unit was faulty but turned out to be my motor. Please disregard my previous review.

I love my variable transformer, I use it on my vacuumed tube shortwave receiver, thanks I use it to reduce the voltage to 110 and start it out slowly to let the tubes warm up

Excellent unit
Faultless performance. It is worth it to buy the 20 amp unit vs the 15 amp believe me. Overvoltage is also a plus.

Good, basic bench tool.
Generally well made from the outside. Not quite as much so inside. This is typical for all of these on Amazon or eBay. Meter is nearly on-target at about 117VAC, but is off abt10V below 50V and abt 5V at130V. With an external VOM, you can dial it in. Use the meter and the guide marks by the knob as range not actual values. It will be fine for my workbench with smaller "boat anchor" ham radios after I build a light bulb current limiter and add an isolation transformer (harder to find).

Works Fine
Good value. Useful for gradually powering up old electronics. The control know calibration markings read somewhat lower than the (unloaded) output voltage. However the digital meter is accurate to within +/- 1 volt.

It does what i should. Reliable and sturdy.
This variax is strong, sturdy and does what it’s supposed to do very well. It small footprint is great and doesnt take over so much space on your workbench. Recommended!

Works Excellent for duct fans!
OK I know this unit is big and more expensive than the simple fan speed controllers, but I have a few fans in metal ductwork that need to have their speed reduced to minimize noise when full flow is not needed. The cheap electronic speed controllers reduce the fan speed and reduce the air flow noise, but replace it with the motor hum that was amplified by the metal ducting and ultimately just as bad or worse than the air flow noise. This unit slows the fan with no motor hum!!! It reduced noise and reduced flow just as I needed and made my living spaces much quieter. Worth it for for my application! I may purchase another one for another application.

Good buy
It works great. However, the volt meter sucks. At its worst it’s nearly 6 volt off. See vid.

Dial and Voltmeter are WAY off..
Unit works fine, just don't rely on the built in Voltmeter or dial indicator. I purchase and installed a "HiLetgo Digital Multimeter AC 80-260V 100A PZEM-061 LCD Display Digital Current Voltage Power Energy Multimeter Ammeter Voltmeter with Current Transformer CT" This unit matches a Fluke 117. I used the Yellow wire to monitor amperage. INTSALL AT YOUR OWN RISK.
