For my use it works great. Making some small parts. It was well packaged and worked without too much fuss to set up. Definitely a good buy.

I bought this lathe with a mindset that at is cheap.But boy I was pretty happy with it when it came everything was very nice . Every thing lined up I would tell anyone that wanted one too get it great value for the money

This is the third lathe I bought. The first two I bought were from Ebay and they never delivered and I had to wait to get my money back. I did get my money back , but it delayed my projects from getting done for 6 months. I ordered this lathe from Vevor and they promised delivery in 1 week and they lived up to there promise . Do not delay ordering from this company, prices are going up so order now. This lathe is the best product out there . I bought this for pool cue repair and it works just what you would expect a good lathe to work. The quality is great. Well made heavy casting for the bed, great precision .0001 tol. Renn

The lathe arrived within a few days of purchase and was undamaged. The crate it was shipped in is a work of art and worth keeping. I have spent ~24 hours disassembling, cleaning, inspecting, deburring, honing, oiling, greasing, and reassembling the lathe's mechanical subsystems - tail stock, compound slide, cross slide, carriage, apron, ways, feed screw, rack gear, chuck, and stud gears. I also inspected the motor and electronics. I have posted >150 photos in the Facebook group Home Shop Machinist (https://www.facebook.com/groups/1104020856281121) of my progress - 10/12 (6), 10/23 (19), 10/26 (46), 10/28 (17), 10/31 (35), 11/04 (26), 11/07 (5). This is the second lathe I have owned. I am very pleased with it so far. I am looking for more accessories - MT3 ER32 collet chuck w/collets, MT3 dead center, faceplate and lathe dogs, follower/steady rest, MT2 live center, tooling. I am also planning a few upgrades - way covers and locks and/or stops for the slides. Once I get it mounted to a solid base I will align the tailstock, tool, and chuck. Once aligned I will begin to make parts with it. I look forward to many years of service from it. It is a fine addition to my small home shop.

Do not expect to use this lathe right out of the box. It requires extensive cleaning and adjustment before the first use. Shipping packaging is poor so expect to do shipping related repairs. tooling is all but useless. With a few inexpensive changes in the design the lathe could have been much better. I can see that I will need to spent at least another $400 to make this lathe usable.

Product started at the east coast, went to the west coast, passing Wisconsin where it was supposed to be delivered.Vevor would not reply to my emails. Finally when I received my order, wooden crate was damaged. The product inside was broken. I patched it together so I could get to work on my projects.The product itself is what it is…CHEAP…If you are buying anything from Vevor you must be mechanically inclined. Their products are not consumer friendly. I told myself, at least I got the product after all the hassle. I don’t know if Vevor is even in business anymore. I received emails from some mail service site explaining my emails could not be delivered to Vevor. Basically my emails were returned to me? I will never buy another thing from Vevor. Probably out of business anyway.

This is a very capable machine for the price. You will need to have some basic mechanical aptitude to set it up correctly and fine tune the machine as it is workable right out of the box but not great. After 3-4 hours of re-assembly, sanding down burrs, flattening certain slides with a stone, this machine is excellent. It machined a grade 5 bolt steel without issue. Very impressed

This thing is great for the price. You can turn aluminum brass and derlin right off the bat. And with a few of the mods showcased on youtube you can cut basically anything to a decent enough standard. This is not a precision machine, but for the price. No reasonable person would expect it to be. Great bargain
