First plug is not as shown. It was normal 120volt us standard plug without a polarized fatter ended slotted plug, but had a ground. So I had to mod which took 20 min and -$10 220v plug before use. ( I have changed plugs with similar machines and have no issue down the road. ) So my first time opinion Is The amps settings are way off as someone else said. They must be half amp increments. I'm running 1/8 6010 / 6011 whatever rod, 80 amps barely strike a arc and running way cold and doesnt sound right and under powerd, bump it up to 160 amps Butter. I would blow a fuse If I was actually drawing 160 amps of electricity so the power measurement is off. It is DC and it does have a noticeable arc force its running good. I liked it was really quiet and light weight but if it fell over once i dont think it would work again. it seems really cheap. Oh the brand was fjl welder or something and the directions were very bad. If you could handle all the issues and have experience and can afford the loss id recommend this as a toy you could get some use out of. I paid 120. complained about the plug being incorrect i think they gave me like -$24 dollars back. ( 20-25% ) not to ship it back
