Oh how I wish I had taken a picture of all of the creosote that came out of the chimney when my husband used this chimney cleaner! I would have shared it in this review!! It was about half a bucket full of pure fine black dust! I didn’t think that was possible. I understand how fire places may cause fires now. Functionally: the chimney cleaner did a fantastic job. It came with everything including the rods as advertised. We already had the drill so we didn’t buy one. However, if you don’t have the drill, I would recommend that you buy a set of chimney cleaner that comes with a drill. This was well worth the cost! Prior to buying this chimney cleaner, we called a few places to get estimates on the cost of cleaning our chimney. The lowest quote ran around $170.00. You’re smart so just do the math. We’ve only had and used this chimney sweeper for a short time, however, it is sturdy and seems durable. It was super easy to use and fool proof. The bristles did not lose their shape after cleaning the chimney which is great. My husband tested a small section of the chimney for effectiveness prior to using and said that the section of the chimney that he could see was not scratched when he tested the chimney cleaner prior to completing the full cleaning.

Easy to set up and use. The rods were flexible as need to work from bottom. Head attachment much easier to get through flap than some of the others

I used this for my chimney with a Lopi insert. I would highly recommend taping each sectional break if you're cleaning from your roof, down. I had one section come apart and I couldn't get the nylon ball out from the bottom. I had to toss a string and washer down to tie around the end and then pull it out from the top. If you have very limited space - even after taking most of your insert apart - and can't clean from the inside up, make sure you tape the connections. It's also better to clean from the roof down because you can close the doors on your insert so none of the soot ends up in your house.

Very flexible and easy to use. Works good.

Used it to clean the 25 ft stainless pipe on our wood-burning fireplace insert. Only little issue is that the extensions can be a bit tough to separate after use. A little tap with a hammer releases the tension on the locking ball, and it is then easy to push in and to separate the joint

Quick and easy to assemble to scrub out your fireplace chimney. Mine is a metal vent. Worked great with an 18 volt drill motor.

Got alot out of my chimney

This is a great easy to use kit for cleaning your stove pipes.

I couldn't be happier with this. The pictures are kind of crappy, but I can clean my chimney without getting on the roof. I have ran this brush on 3 different chimneys 2 with tees and one with the pipe coming out the top of the stove. All 3 were cleaned without getting on the roof. This brush can get around a damper, but takes some wiggling on the way out. I used a 20v Dewalt drill. If it broke tomorrow I would buy another one. Great product and the rods can be bent end to end.

I love it! I don’t have to worry about my husband falling off the roof! It works perfectly!
