Works Well
Ordered this heater last month and just now getting around to installing it. These suitcase heaters are far more simple to install than the versions that are more scattered. I bought the latter last fall and it works very well. We burn wood and this prevents those cold mornings when the wood plays out during the night. Makes Winter far more tolerable. Suitcase variety primes faster (I didn't do the prime bit). I just filled it up and in about 10 minutes it picked up the fuel and got hot quickly. Liked them so well, I ordered two more for the shop buildings. Heads up...I thought I'd been shorted an air intake hose and used rubber hose from a car instead. It worked well. While hooking up the indoor heat tube, I found the little intake hose hidden inside. All is well. I have a backup hose now. Cannot attest to the longevity of these units but first impressions are positive.

We bought this to heat our 27’ RV. Purchased a motorcycle battery but it doesn’t last the night, only 4-5 hours. It appears that this size battery doesn’t work with this heater. Do we need a battery charger with the battery? It is not supplying a heat source for 8-10 hours on one tank of diesel.

Instant Toasty Warm, well a few instants, but still toasty!
I've been curious about these little heaters for a few years ago, but already had a good propane heater. Then I noticed that propane was about 50 miles away to get refilled, and diesel is only 12 miles away. That seemed important, so I got a diesel heater. I use it off grid, in a small house cabin shack thing I built, so I just drilled a hole in the wall for the exhaust, and mounted the heater to the floor under my desk where I usually sit while drinking coffee at the computer. Nice! It makes a bit of noise, but its not annoying. I don't run it while sleeping, just to take the pain away from a cold morning. The electricity used is reasonable, pulls a lot while heating the glow plug but then its just the fan. I typically run it on lowest setting. I'll probably make it through the Texas winter on less than 5 gallons of fuel. I can handle that.

I initially had no knowledge about these heaters when I purchased mine. For a trial run, I placed it on a table secured to a couple of 2x6 beams so that I could route the exhaust underneath and out. I cut a 1½ inch hole and added some sheet metal around it to ensure the exhaust wouldn’t rest on the wood, then I fired it up. It worked perfectly the first time. The manual had incorrect instructions on how to switch from manual to automatic mode, but after reaching out to Vevor support, they provided me with the correct information within a day. The shed I'm heating is a 10x16 wooden structure—not a Watkins, but similar in design. Once the heater warms up, I have to keep the fan on setting 1, or it gets too hot. I bought the heater specifically to heat my shed office, which is an 8x10 structure of the same type. I mounted the heater outside, resting it on a couple of sawhorses, and built a box with hinges around it. This allows me to tilt it down to fill the fuel. I also purchased a kit with extra hoses and a T-joint. I directed one hose underneath my desk and the other points behind me. Again, once it heats up, I keep the fan on setting 1 or turn it off and then back on as needed. I just added an 8k separated unit to my cart. I really love the heater I currently have, but I want to keep it mounted outside while the controller and display remain inside. Once I get the separated unit, I can set it to run automatically. I rated the ease of use low because the documentation is quite poor. However, once you get the hang of it, you can easily revert that rating back to 5 stars. And yes, the heater is going back in my "mower shed," the 10x16 one.

Going on a little over a month with this heater. I’m impressed that it has continued working effectively and efficient. My unit as this one has six settings. It’s been down to 12 degrees last 3 days. I run my on the lowest setting at 1. When it starts up it starts in setting 3. So I let it get going for a little while then use my remote to bring it down to 1 again. I live in a seventy foot mobile home. So I have around 720 sq. feet to manage. I have placed this one in my bedroom and haven’t worried at all about keeping warm . The rest of the house doesn’t get to share this heat. However I have a second one coming in today. Same exact heater but with the added upgrade of the phone app. This will allow me to place the new one at the opposite end and not have to get up to control it. I have your regular style mobile home which is designed basically like a rectangle box. So the central heat and air was no doubt a nice feature. But this house was completely tore up from some renters that got kicked out for not paying. I got it for free but had to haul off. That was two years ago. I have windows and doors . New floor, new sheet rock since they kicked ever piece in the place. Replaced the exterior door along with all the interior doors. And somebody decided to have a complete new floor put in. The guy doing it placed 3/4” water board over the original floor and covered all the heat and cooling floor vents. I started to try to open the floor at the vents to realize the guy knocked all of the duct work down. So this is why I’m going with diesel heaters. Last month my fuel bill was $40 dollars. Which is less than half of what propane would have cost. I’m adding the second one which may bring the cost up to about half of propane. Anyway so far so good. I am setting my heaters outside and just running heat tube inside. The heat itself is a nice warm dry heat. I hope I can be giving good reports for the next five years. I watched a video of a guy that was giving a review on his diesel heater that was on its fifth year and going strong. I am glad I chose Vevor because their going to be around and they will stand behind their products. Good day. Erock,,Tulsa

Great little heater with lots of power to warm my smallish shop. I just wish the manual was printed in larger print. The eyes aren't as good as they used to be..

Vevor diesel heater works great for me. Where I live cold weather usually isn’t long. This heater will burn a gallon of fuel on the highest settings in about 12 hours. Mine come with key remote. Installing is time consuming if because it has to be well ventilated, and the unit itself is a bit loud. Thanks, bamoose2 , Concord NC

Great heater, terrible instruction manual.
Easy to assemble, but the manual was pretty much useless with tiny postage stamp size photos and English that makes no sense. The operating instructions were for a completely different LCD controller, and none of the buttons performed as described. I couldn't even get the pump to prime after multiple attempts, and it was very frustrating. Only after finding an obscure video about my specific controller was I able to get the unit primed and started. It works great, but is pretty noisy with the pump ticking and the fan if it's running higher than the lowest setting. On the highest setting, it's as loud as my vacuum cleaner! Bottom line is, for the price, you can't beat it if you can figure it all out on your own.

Worked good in beginning, but been having lots of issues after few weeks. The controller that is on my unit seems very basic and can not make any adjustments. Lots of black smoke and won't run more than 30 minutes
