Looked at the cost of buying a completed Murphy bed and then looked at just buying the mechanism. If your on a budget, buying this mechanism, the wood and doing it yourself is about 30% of the cost of a completed unit. This mechanism is very well made, heavy duty and works great. Install may be a little challenging but it is intuitive to those who have any building ability and you can find how to install on YouTube.. Love the product.

I used this product to create a flip-top table for a 4'x4' CNC. The springs in this are very strong; I ended up removing all but 2 of them in order to flip up the table. Overall no issues with the workmanship or the product--it installed fine and now works perfectly.

I have been shopping for this type of a system for quite some time. I finally made the decision to order, and it was the best move.The product showed up on time, and in perfect condition. purchased at approx a 1/3 of the price of the murphy bed brand kit. I liked that it did not require gas struts and uses very heavy duty springs to help do the heavy lifting/lowering of the bed. as many have commented on this style kit, the instructions are very poor, but the picture gives the best indication of how to do it. there is a video or two on YouTube now for this one....so that helps too. The biggest challenge is the installation of the bed spring kit.Placement is extremely critical to assure the bed frame sits square into the wall frame. I was off only 2 mm and that amplified to a 1/4 in tilt at the far end (top) the bed frame. Even after triple checking measurements before drilling, my walls were not square by a tiny amount. There is no easy way to do minor adjustments to the mounts and redrilling holes really kills the project. I chose to not use the legs included and used a floating wood shelf instead as the legs. Pics show my build and just needs final front trim and mattress (on order).

Did what we needed for our murphy bed!

Great product but do not expect to be able to install it without much trial and error. The single page installation sheet is an absolute joke. No good dimensions and where to install the product. Very disappointing and aggravating. Seller answered question about detailed instruction sheet saying find us and we can help, but try as I might I could not find them.

easy to install and sturdy...

The brackets and legs are sturdy and work fine, but you are completely on your own figuring out the measurements to make a murphy bed that works!

After reading everyone’s reviews about how bad the directions were….I figured “it can’t be that bad”….I was wrong! If there were clear directions and maybe a template for drilling the holes(which have to be exact) it would have been a day job. However, with several screw ups, and 1000 attempts before figuring out the correct way to mount the hinges…..2 days but done.
