I would buy this product again
Product arrived ahead of schedule and nicely packaged in a wooden box. I used the 1 1/2 hp motor to replace a 1 hp motor which was damaged in a 30 year old Sears Craftsman 10 inch table saw. I had to modify the wiring to change the rotation of the motor but that was pretty straight forward. The only negative is that the wiring instructions could have been a bit clearer and the labeling on the wires could be more legible, Needed a magnifying glass to make out the labeling. Seems to be a good price for what you get but I cant speak to its longevity having only recently installed it.

Tristan Berke. VERY impressed.
So far I have only been able to use this motor a bit but for the time I have used it, I have found it to be INCREDIBLE. It runs very quiet for such a powerful and fast motor, and it works like a charm on my belt grinder. The motor came to me before the scheduled date, and the packaging is phenomenal. There is NO way this thing could break during shipping with the way these guys packaged it. I cant recommend it enough.

Good Quality
Installed this on my lathe to replace an extremely old motor. The axle rotated the opposite direction as the old motor, and it spun much too fast for wood turning, but once I rebuilt the motor mount and geared the RPM way down, it has worked great. I've only been using it for about a week, but so far it hasn't struggled or overheated even when spinning relatively large bowl blanks that my old motor had trouble with.

Buy It.
I tried motors I had laying around my shop in order to get my older Craftsman table saw working again. Even ones that were more horsepower! Don't waste your time unless you have a air compressor type motor if not buy this one because it works great.

Mislabeled wires upon receipt
Someone at the factory placed 2 "T1" labels on the wires, then paired the two sets of wires incorrectly (Swapping the T1 for the T2). Took some time to figure out which wire went where. Once wired correctly it started up without issue. Hoping I didn't cause long term damage to the motor or capacitors due to the factory error. The fan housing was also dented upon receipt, but that is a minor issue compared to the wiring snafu.

Good buy.
It's a standard electric motor. Made in Asia of course. Used this on a 2x72 belt sander. More than enough horse power needed.

Wiring Correction
I don't normally write reviews, if it works as advertised, it's supposed to. However, the wiring diagram on this particular motor is either incorrect or the wire labels are. I had to reverse wires T5 and T8 to get the proper rotation in my case CW. Word to the wise, test the rotation prior to tidying it up and mounting. The motor is quiet and powerful for now. Just installed it so longevity testing is on going. The mounting plate was pretty bent up but no biggie. It is a replacement for my Craftsman 10" table saw. Hope this helps.

PERFECT REPLACEMENT FOR OLD CAST IRON CRAFTSMAN TABLE SAW 113.29903
The OEM Craftsman motor gave up the ghost in the most stupid fashion, the shaft bent from snugging up the drive belt. Humming began, then intermittent start. Then finally, no start. Hum. Hmm. Took the thing apart and saw the commutator rubbing on the armature or whatever the guts are called. This is the PERFECT FIT and at 1.5 HP, I also bought the steel pulley for 5/8 shaft. That pulley is found here on Amazon. It is steel, has two set screws, and it comes with the square key stock, not a real 'woodruff key' since those have a curved side. That pulley is perfect too for this motor.Exact mount. Perfect. You will need a power cord so buy a new one, 14 gauge triple with the grounded plug 'for tools'. Then you will need a cord clamp / sheath cable connector with the screws so you can mount the cord and anchor it through the knock-outs on the motor's connection box. You will also need two wire nuts and a terminal -- spade type -- for the ground. Get yourself a new belt too. My saw's replacement belt is a Gates PoweRated 6841 / Industry Number 4l410K (1/2" x 41") = 12.5 to 13 mm x 1040 mmTHIS HAS EASY TO READ WIRING INSTRUCTIONS on a double-sided, card stock, color printed document with all the models of single and three phase motors. You will easily be able to wire for 120 VAC or 230 VAC. Just read and take your time. If you're an old goat, put on your glasses.Only been running it a few days and if anything comes up, an update to the review will be posted.
