I have sharpened several bits with this tool and find it the best on the market for the price. I would not hesitate to recommend this tool to a friend.

Great drill bit sharpener
Great priced drill bit sharpener and a lot more consistent results than the well know dr name out there If you need a drill bit sharpener get this one you won’t be disappointed

Great for the price
I have to say this machine does a great job of sharpening evenly. The larger the drill bit the easier it is to index, even though the indexing part is finicky. "I" can't depend on centering/aligning the bit as required with the indexing part of the machine but I'm sure there is some room for error, just not much. Drill depth into the collet is good but alignment isn't so good sometimes. Using the directions that aren't great but work, tell you to bottom out then back out to your desired size. I needed to back it out more than that (about 2 turns out) then pay attention that it's correct. The smaller the bit is where it really becomes about useless except for depth and then becomes a juggling act. A word of Caution: to save the diamond wheel, a light touch is needed by taking your time - not to plunge too hard or hard at all - be patience and use light passes. Since Vevor doesn't sell replacement parts I'm not sure where to purchase a replacement wheel which aren't cheap I'm sure, so go easy on it (I haven't investigated this). I gave 3 stars on "Easy to Use" because of the alignment issues, but once set properly it's a breeze to use and it's quite too with the larger motor that is balanced nicely - smooth. It's a pretty heavy unit and I think it's Well Built overall. I sat down and sharpened an index full of fractional and numbered drill bits one day (size limited) and have to say it's a pleasure to use them now. I've used other sharpeners and this by far works better. Would be nice to accurately index really small bits - as mentioned before, the indexing suffers. The split point part of the machine works well also. I haven't experimented with all the split point options, but as set from factory works well. Very nice machine overall. :)

Versatile
No complaints. Make an organizer so the collet is color coded and the drills for that collet get connected to the right collet.

This is by far the best drill sharpener I have ever used. I have already sharpened over 100 drill bits and they cut like they did when they were new. It will also split the point so the drill will cut without a pilot hole. It will sharpen 3/32" up to 1/2" and once it adjusted it only takes seconds to sharpen a drill bit. Of course the collets that come with it are in metric sizes, but they fit the standard sizes just fine. The instructions say to close the adjustment collar fully clockwise then turn to the left to the appropriate number for the size drill you are sharpening. I recommend turning one full revolution to the left and then to the appropriate number. That gives you the perfect relief angle on the drill. I highly recommend this sharpener. You won't be disappointed. I only wish they made one that would sharpen up to 1".

Engineering students are really hard on drill bits, and I was looking for an alternative to constantly replacing the high performance bits we use for 316SS and alloy steels. The department had a top-of-the-line Drill Doctor that several (including me) had tried to figure out, but it was cheaper to just replace the bits than to pay an employee to stand there fighting with that machine. This machine paid for itself within about six hours of sharpening -- see attached photo. This included the time it took to educate a student on the science behind the geometry of drill bits. Even the really bad bits (overheated, completely rounded off) could just be roughly ground back on a bench grinder and reshaped on this machine within about 5 minutes. The split point cut is also very fast and easy. Two negatives: First, the instructions are insufficient, but there are some good videos available (the one on the product page is good). Second, the split points aren't very consistent. It seems to depend on the size and how well it fills the collet--specifically, a bit on the high side of a certain collet's capacity seems to split better than one on the lower side of the same collet. It somewhat affects how consistently the bits tightens in the collet holder. So, it may just be a matter of learning curve. Overall, I'm very pleased. These bits aren't quite factory-quality sharpened, but satisfactorily sharpened for what we do. I've pushed a resharpened 1/2" bit through 1/2" steel plate with no problem, and they cut evenly when boring on a lathe.

Was a machinist back in the 70's. But since then have been more of a home hobbyist. I used to sharpen my drills by hand with the aid of a drill angle guide. Then I found the Drill Doctor and thought that would make a dreaded task much better. That thing is plastic junk. A LOT of guesswork. Then I saw the YouTube review of this machine by Tubalcain. Decided to bite the financial bullet & get one. Well, (other than the cost) this thing has been an answer to my dream of an easy to use & PRECISE drill sharpener. Heavy duty, made entirely of steel. (Made like the US USED TO make things). Dead on exact drill bit sharpening every time. It is made & designed in all metric but that's not a problem. Just pick the collet that fits the drill, align the drill, and sharpen. Hate the price but LOVE the machine. (I gave away my Drill Doctor).

A very well made drill sharpener for metric or imperial up to 13mm/1/2” and as small as 3/32”. Quality of grind is very good as well as web relief on point, so far I have only ground 118° drill bits but I am sure grinding 135° or other required angles will be just as effective, the included diamond wheel does a pretty good job on carbide but I would like to locate a finer grit for a more smoother finish. Instructions are a bit vague, and really difficult to translate actions to actual use but get you to the basic functionality. One needs to experiment a little to achieve an accurate grind. I really don’t think anyone offers a robust drill grinder in this category and price point. I recommend this tool.

Awesome Drill Bit Sharpener
This is one of those things I wished I would have bought sooner. I have had numerous other "sharpener" but they all lacked. Not this one- It works great and my bits turn out sharper than brand new. Highly recommend to everyone.
