This is a single speed pump very well made budget friendly single speed pop 3400 rpm

I bought this for a Jacuzzi hot tub I am replacing a variable speed so I will have to add a small circ. pump. The fittings will sit one and a 1/2 inch PVC they are not standard so you won't be able to just on hook your pump and hope this 1 up plan on some plumbing maybe 1 hour I had it going. So far it's very quiet very efficient pumps well not overheating

Better than the original

I bought the 1 HP as a replacement for a broken spa pump. The original was no longer being manufactured, and direct replacements were $250-300, so I figured I'd try this one instead, expecting some extra work with the plumbing. However, all the plumbing parts fit - all I had to do was bolt a piece of wood underneath, since the mounts were lower than the original. This pump is extremely quiet - at least compared to the original - I have to be standing right next to the spa to hear anything at all. So far I am very happy with this purchase.

Used this to replace an old pump on a jetted tub. Works well after install. It does not have an air start attached . You will need to install one. Not hard to do but you will need to be a little handy if you order this.

Great pump bad swivel fittings.

Great price and a hard to find size at 1/2 hp. Other people mentioned that the fittings on the inlet and outlet are metric and needed adapting. I have no idea how they are doing this since there are no fittings available that I could find that fit. I ended up having to glue a 1 1/2 coupler sawn in half onto the end of a pipe then turn it on a lathe to 1.985” The size of the inside of the pump swivel fitting. PVC pipe in 1 1/2” is 1.9”. Way too small. Anyway it’s done and good but yes be prepared for that inconvenience. I’ll review the pump further after I run it this weekend it’s for a hot tub at our beach house and we go there tonight.

Sorry I can't use for my spa tub so had to return it. I have a whirlpool tub and no way to turn it on & off would have to plug and unplug unit each time I needed to use it. It does work and looks very nice when I hooked it up.
