VEVOR ladder base for use on stairs. Product appears to work as presented. The device is powder coated steel (beautiful finish) and feels very sturdy. I have my ladder positioned on it now in the stairwell and am in the process of painting the walls. So far, so good. This device solves a problem I have had for a while when working around my stairs. I recommend this product - it is useful.Minor Issue: The assembly instructions are garbage. My instructions are "photos only" and shows two rods inserted next to each other through holes the middle of the assembly - the holes were not drilled to accommodate multiple rods next to each other in this area... once one rod is fitted to set the height of the device, the other holes are not aligned to allow a second rod in the middle section of the device.Solution: The instructions are simply wrong. Luckily, common sense and additional photos on-line make the assembly easy. There are two correct ways to assemble the device.Option 1 - You can assemble using ONE rod in the middle (to set the height of the device to fit your stairs), then use the included bolts and nuts at the top and bottom of the device to solidly attach the top pan and the bottom base. This is the method I chose. You can adjust the height as needed by removing the middle rod. Secure the pin with the key chain ring, chain and kotter pin.OROption 2 - You can assemble using THREE rods. One on the top, one in the middle and one in the base. I think the "rods option" is preferable if you plan to disassemble the device into three pieces (for storage) after each use. Be sure to secure the pins using the key chain rings, chains and kotter pin. The kotter pin goes on the middle rod which is removed to adjust the height of the device. The base and top pan have a non-scratch pad glued to the bottom to protect your stairs. Some folks have commented that they add a "gripper" pad to the bottom to better secure the device while your up on your ladder.Suggestion to Manufacturer:
