Overall a good product. I ran into a 3 items that keep it from.being a 5 star. First was the plastic film up under the lips of the pan. I struggled to get it out and ended up leaving some. This is noted in other reviews. Second was the spigot leaking just a little bit, we need to heavily Teflon tape it to get it tight. This is also noted in other reviews. Third and most frustrating for me was the spot welds in the warming tank brackets burned through and left small holes. I fixed it with JB Weld but that's not great quality or quality control going out the door. Again, those 3 things aside I had a great season with it, the tank and warming tank stood up to direct flame with no issues and I should have many season of syrup making ahead with it.

Used it 1 time this year. Cooking down on a fire was a bit tricky but manageable. My pet peeve is that the thermometer is in the wrong place and is useless where it is placed. As for the bottom drain it is also about useless. Had to move the tank around just to drain because the straight handle moves in the wrong direction to allow you to open the drain.

It was shipped quickly. Packed perfectly. When I pulled it out everything was perfect. It made my dad really interested in buying more products for maple syrup making.

VERY happy with my maple syrup evaporator. Holds up well to open fire wood burning. Thermostat is on point. Spout seals well. Would buy again.

I was a bit skeptical but decided to give this pan a chance. Worked well! Nice and deep and cleaned up pretty well. I bought 2! If it came with handles I would have rated 5 star.

Made my life cooking down sap for maple syrup a ton easier. Really reduces my cooking time. Surface area is key. Makes evaooration much faster. I cook on an outdoor wood burner, cleaning the soot off tgis stainless steal pan is surprisingly easy. If you're just starting out making syrup, this is the pan to get.

Some dents and dings. However, there was no visible damage to the packaging, indicating the product was damaged prior to packaging. At one time it appears there was shipping plastic on both pans that was removed, which leads me to believe the pan was previously used. Other than the residual plastic that was nearly impossible to remove under the flange of both pans, the pan operated as designed for my individual use. Would recommend.
