If you are serious about grinding your own wheat and want to be able to make white flour consider getting this sifter. It has many other uses but we mainly bought it for sifting flour. We make allot of our own bread and grind our own wheat. Sometimes you don't want to use whole wheat so you have to separate the wheat bran and germ to get white flour. In the past I have used a hand sifter to do the separation but to really get a fine white flour you need an 80 mesh screen. It is allot of work to sift flour by hand with an 80 mesh screen. This machine does all the hard work and speeds up the process.We are also going to use this for sifting ground up dried herb powder in the future. Very grateful to have found one with an 80 mesh screen, allot of the ones for sale do not come with the 80 mesh. Unit seems well built and is not to loud to use. I would recommend.

I've run about 25 pounds of wheat through this so far, works well. I'm using a wonder mill to grind the berries, getting around 67% by weight out of the 60 mesh screen. Just need to figure out what to do with the bran!!

This is perfect for me. Sifting is a tedious endeavor when you are doing it by hand. This makes short work of it.
