This is a bottom of the bucket budget mig welder. I do not expect it to last forever. But it does weld, albeit not great, but that’s to be expected. The wire feed and amp/voltage read outs are gibberish. They don’t really seem to match what they’re actually putting out. You basically have to go by feel. Having used a Lincoln previously (borrowed from a friend) I basically just guessed the amps and wire speed and got close, then fine tuned before committing. It definitely feels cheap, but not criminally so. It sticks metal together for sure. But it’s very clearly not a Miller or an esab, which it isn’t trying to be. Four stars because there’s virtually no document support that coincides with what the machine says, but if you’re not a moron and do some googling before welding you’ll be able to weld.
