outside need
I have an outside faucet in a place that never sees the sun. I taped the wire in a piece of angled metal and put it against the faucet. stayed warm all winter so no problems.

Got creative with it
it to keep my hot tub cozy all winter long in a bitter SoDak end season. I wrapped this around the main pipes leading out of the impeller, duct taped the mylar around it and then coated the inside door with more of it and kept that thing hot and steamy all winter! Worked perfectly! If it can keep a hot tub hot in -20 degree blizzards, it can certainly keep any pipe from freezing.

Great product!
I bought this for wrapping around a hummingbird feeder in winter. Before you tell me I was supposed to stop feeding them so they'll migrate, these particular hummers (Anna's) do not migrate! I fed them all winter, and they depended on me to fill the feeder to keep their little tummies full. This cable worked perfectly for my needs! I used a large glass feeder, and this wrapped nicely around it. I used electrical tape to adhere it to the feeder, then ran an extension cord to the cable. I love the fact that it has a little "pilot" light that comes on when the temp gets low, and it is visible in the dark. I was so glad to be able to find this, and it have recommended it to others.

Save frig from freezing
I got the 3' or 5', whatever was smallest, for my frig in the garage. The frig kept freezing in the winter. This keeps it above freezing and was able to handle the cord in the door insulation so the door would still shut. saved a lot of food from freezing like onions, potatoes, milk.

Great Product!!
Instructions are good. Works fine. Remember not to wrap in spiral but run along bottom of pipe. Wrapped with insulation as instructions advised. Has worked fine thru several cold weather snaps and no problems with pipe freezing. Temps have been down to 15 degrees and everything is good.

Works Great
I used it on a hummingbird feed because, for some reason, we had a couple of hummingbirds stick around instead of leaving for the winter. Even at 11 degrees it did not freeze or get slushy.

Very flexible
These pipe heaters are money on a farm. This was the first time I bought one and I was very impressed. We are using it on some exposed pipes from our well that run through the barn. This is doing a great job and is a significant energy saver compared to the lightbulb we had used in years past to keep the pipes thawed.

Does exactly what it's supposed to. A little bit ...
Does exactly what it's supposed to. A little bit of work to install on a pipe but it seems to get to an appropriate temperature (warm enough for the pipe not to freeze, but not too warm for a plastic pipe).

Keep your copper pipes from bursting
This is just what I needed for the copper pipe that leads to a spigot on the outside wall of my garage. Since the space is unheated it can get very cold in there. This pipe has burst twice in cold weather. Wrapped this around the pipe, plugged it in, and now I feel safe that the pipe won't burst again.
