Use these in the barn to keep the pipes from freezing. These work well. Easy to install. Top them with a fiberglass insulation - not just a foam tube. But worth the money to avoid plumbing problems in the middle of winter.
Have these on all my hoses in our unheated New England garage. They work well and have given us piece of mind in single digit weather. Just make sure to exactly follow mfg's installation instructions.
I am using this to keep my outdoor pvc drain pipe from freezing and it always feels warm at the temperature that it’s supposed to come on. It was very easy to install due to its flexibility
This was used on our pipes to prevent freezing during the winter months, our temps sometimes go to 0 degrees, not often, mostly have 20 degrees, but if our pipes would freeze, this helps them defrost more quickly.
Installed this last year then covered the pipes with foam I live in a mobile home in Michigan and have a lot of issues with freezing didn't have a single one throughout the winter and I do not expect any this winter
Works and is easy to install. Note that the thermostat is near the chord and needs a receptacle very close to avoid using an extension cord. The plug chord length was only about 2’ or so.
With temps down to -1, I tried out this on pipes which have closer proximity with the cold. Single digits will freeze pipes but this stuff stopped that from happening. Worth the 20 bucks.
My disabled mothers trailer froze while I was 822 miles away. No water! So I ordered this in hopes it would be easy for my mother and he 80 yr old brother to install. I am so proud of them! The next day they had water. Easy to keep track on and turn off / on by its self. Perfect for her single trailer in Ohio.
